BOSTON, MA, and FOSTER CITY, CA, November 6, 2017⎯Tufts Medical Center and MORE Health, a Silicon Valley-based global healthcare IT company, today announced a strategic alliance that gives patients from across the world access to the exceptional doctors of Tufts Medical Center through MORE Health’s Physician Collaboration Platform.
MORE Health employs a proprietary, HIPAA-compliant, cloud-based IT platform to provide patients with access to an elite network of physicians to validate diagnoses and develop optimal treatment plans. Today’s announcement strengthens MORE Health’s network of doctors by connecting patients in the U.S. and internationally to Tufts Medical Center’s premier physicians.

A number of doctors in China have already completed consults with Tufts Medical Center cancer and pediatric specialists. Once a request for a consultation or co-diagnosis is made, MORE Health nurses translate all records and reach out to the Medical Center where a physician is assigned to the case. Collaboration on the case may include a video conference with the patient, physician and an interpreter.
“We are the first academic medical center in the United States that has offered all members of its physician organization – more than 600 doctors and specialists – as part of the pool of experts available for consultation,” said Craig Best, MD, CEO of the Tufts Medical Center Physician Organization, noting that about 10 percent of consultations end up with the patient traveling to the Medical Center for a procedure.
By partnering with Tufts Medical Center, MORE Health is expanding its physicians network to include many of the world’s most preeminent doctors and specialists. Tufts Medical Center’s founding institution, the Boston Dispensary, was established in 1796 by early American patriots including Paul Revere and Samuel Adams – making it the oldest permanent medical facility in New England.
